Income Declaration for International Students（外国人留学生の所得の申告）

If you are enrolled in the National Health Insurance and had no income in the previous year, you must declare that.

In order to receive National Health Insurance tax relief, you must file a tax return.

If you worked a part-time job in the previous year and your employer reported your part-time (salary) income to the city hall, you do not need to file a tax return on your own.

Note: If your part-time income for the previous year exceeds 965,000 yen, you must also pay the municipal tax in the following year.

International students who are registered as residents in Beppu City on 1st January of the same year and whose income for the previous year was zero yen are able to file a simple application.

国民健康保険に加入している人は、前年に収入がなかった場合、収入がなかったことを申告しなければなりません。

国民健康保険税の軽減を受けるためには、申告が必要です。

前年にアルバイトをして、勤務先が市役所にアルバイト（給与）収入の報告をしている場合は、個人で申告する必要はありません。

※前年のアルバイト収入が965,000円を超えると、次の年に市県民税も払わなければなりません。

その年の1月1日に別府市に住民登録があり、前年の収入が0円の外国人留学生は、簡易申請で申告することができます。
