Kakujyusen photograph It is said that Sorin Otomo (1530-1587) developed it as a hot spring resort in one corner of Myoban. It used to be called Shitan-yu or Tsurukamesen.
Ｔhe white steam rising from Yunohana (sinter) huts will please your eyes as ever. In the old age of Han it was well-known for the extraction of Japan’s best alum whose factory was soon established. When the Feudal Lord Kurushima visited, they treated him with a new-built bath, Kakujyusen. The present building was constructed in 1996 with one bath each for men and women. Same as Jizosen it is bactericidal acidic milky white spring.
