constructed in 1961
Kaimonji Hot Spring, previously called Kaimonji Park Hot Spring was approved as a municipal bath in 1936. It is located within five minutes' walk of the Beppu station and frequented by not only locals but also visitors.photo
It was rebuilt and open in February 2010 with the barrier-free facilities. This unobtrusive elegant Japanese-style construction matches with the adjoining Kaimonji Park. With two types of baths provided, one with hot water and the other with lukewarm water, tourists who are not used to taking a hot bath can also enjoy the real charm of our Beppu Hot Spring.
