Countermeasures against damage from storms and floods

	●Prepare an electric torch and a portable radio in case of a power failure.
	●Prepare an emergency bag containing valuables to evacuate with.
	●Pay attention to the typhoon information.
	●Do not go out unless necessary.
	●Store drinking waters in case of the supply failure.
	●Move furniture, food, clothes, beddings and other daily necessities to a higher place in case of flooding.
	●Evacuate children, elderly, sick and disabled people to a safety place.

The city of Beppu is hit by several typhoons every year. When they come close to or land on the city, the strong wind and heavy rain can cause a serious damage. Pay attention to the weather forecast and prepare against the typhoon.
